Derek is a senior strategy and marketing professional with more than 20 years’ experience developing and implementing winning marketing strategies for early stage to middle market companies across diverse industries. He has extensive background in product management, business process optimization and developing and implementing strategies to drive growth for B2C and B2B businesses. Derek has worked closely with organizations at all growth stages to develop business and financial plans. Some of his recent projects include completing a successful marketing strategy and rebranding process for Healthcare company and assisting in its Series B capital raise. Derek also recently completed and implemented a successful product, revenue and growth plan to bring established 10 million member social travel network to profitability. The plan resulted in 40% growth in revenue which was sustained through the recapitalization and sale of the company.

Experience: Derek has been advising CEO’s and senior leadership teams for over 8 years. Prior to providing fractional hire strategic advisory services Derek has started multiple SaaS (software as a service) companies and has held a number of senior marketing strategy and operations roles including serving as VP of Marketing for a two time INC 500 online e-commerce marketplace & retail company, and a senior marketing and branding position for a $991 million biotech company which successfully sold for $1.4 billion.
