James H. Riehl, Jr.

Jim is an experienced business professional with over 30 years' experience who works with companies to increase their revenue and profits. He does that by helping businesses develop or validate competitive advantage and leverage it in the marketplace, using the right strategy and properly aligned planning, operations and tactics. After starting his career in consumer products marketing, Jim has burnished his resume with additional experience in the industrial, consulting and non-profit sectors. Having grown products and services in over 20 categories on over 50 individual brands, Jim has successfully developed competitive advantage and leveraged it in the marketplace for B2B and B2C products and services spanning Fortune 500, mid-sized, entrepreneurial and family-owned companies.

Experience: Jim has over 20 years' experience in senior marketing and sales management as an advisor and confidant to the C-suite. Prior to establishing his own consulting practice, he most recently helped quintuple company revenue to over $300 million, facilitating a private equity purchase of Wilton, CT-based Connolly LLC. Also among his achievements is a $400 million revenue increase in consumer products sales at Fort Howard Corporation (including one memorable year when he increased the bottom line by over $100 million), which paved the way for its purchase by James River Corporation. shortly after that accomplishment, Jim joined Wausau Paper's Specialty Paper Division and re-positioned the business, erasing a $10 million annual loss within two years. He originally cut his marketing teeth at General Mills and Nestle Foods.
