Jim Rothkopf

Jim is a CPA and a senior financial and operating executive with over 25 years' experience at major philanthropic (501(c)c3) organizations working domestically and internationally with annual revenues of $50 to $100 million. He has been responsible for the investments of large endowments as well as income distributions for over 1,700 individual endowments; Jim has a deep understanding of accounting policies and internal controls, employee benefits including 403b plans, fund raising and planned giving programs (i.e. charitable gift annuities, donor relations and special gifts); Form 990 filings, legal agreements and banking relationships. Jim also has a strong background working with privately held middle market companies.

Experience: Prior to joining Westover Strategic Advisors, Jim held senior financial and operating positions — including CFO at the American Friends of Hebrew University, CFO of UJA Federation of New York, Director of Finance and Operations at Peppers & Rodgers Group, CFO of Trinity Packaging Corporation, VP of Finance of Clarkson Industries a $200 million capital goods manufacturer, VP of Finance and Operations for Esquire's Globe Book Division and a Senior Accountant/Audit position with Arthur Anderson & Company.
