Marcus Nucci

Marcus has over 25+ years of IT and Operations experience for both US and International companies across many industries (Retail, e-Commerce, Manufacturing, Distribution, Biotech, Hospitality, Healthcare, etc.). Marcus has served as CTO/CIO, COO and President at several start-ups as well as mid-sized companies. Marcus has a great deal of experience developing custom applications as well as selecting and implementing off-the-shelf enterprise solutions to support business operations. Marcus has assisted organizations with implementing Lean and Agile techniques for both business operations and software development departments. Marcus is a certified Agile scrummaster and is very active in the startup community in Charlottesville, VA. He often assists organizations restructure their IT operations to better support the company’s growth, typically around the $10-$50 million mark where IT infrastructure is no longer effectively supporting operations. Marcus has founded several Software-as-a-Service companies and has experience managing local as well as off-shore development and support resources. He has experience with many software development languages/frameworks and cloud architectures. Marcus has been responsible for developing HIPAA and PCI compliant platforms as well as acquiring UL/CE certifications for products.

Experience: Marcus began his career at IBM developing and managing a consulting organization focused on transactional kiosk networks for fortune 500 companies, both in the US as well as abroad (England, France, Switzerland, Hong Kong and Singapore). After IBM, Marcus began working with startups and medium sized organizations managing software development and IT operations. Marcus spent 5 years at Upstate Biotechnology, restructuring their IT infrastructure to support international manufacturing, distribution and sales. Marcus recently developed a HIPAA compliant patient management platform that seamlessly integrates with Epic's EHR.
