Peter Willner

Peter is a highly experienced non-profit Chief Executive Officer with more than 30 years of experience with large and medium sized philanthropic and educational organizations. He has a strong background in turning around non-profit organizations that were experiencing financial, fundraising, and governance difficulties. Adept in developing non-profit business plans and financial models to project future growth of organizations primarily financed through charitable dollars. Areas of expertise include: management, fundraising, non-profit governance, grant writing and procurement from foundation and governmental sources, program development, governmental relations, and personnel management.

Experience: Prior to joining Westover Strategic Advisors, Peter held senior executive and operating positions with philanthropic, civil rights, human services, and educational institutions: CEO for a major multi-office philanthropic national organization raising money for higher education with annual donations ranging from $50 to 70 million annually along with a $500 million endowment; Chief Executive Officer of a public school organization dedicated to providing collaborative educational services for low incidence handicapped children with $20 million annual budget; as Chief Operating Officer for a national civil rights organization and as Executive Director of Organization and Development for a philanthropic human services organization with an annual budget of $130 million.
